Most people have an idea that they've started the day winning by getting up on the right foot.

For me, part of my morning routine is when I ask myself, "Where am I?"

One of the measurable ways in which I do this is by weighing myself and looking at myself in the mirror.

A lot of people are afraid to look in the mirror, because it shows them what they may not want to face.

We are no longer able to avoid complacency.

But guess what?

When we see the reality of where we're currently at, we're then able to see where we want to go if we don't like what we're seeing OR to stay the course because we like where it is that we're at right now.

It comes down to being honest with what we see in the mirror.

From what you see in the mirror to your relationship with your family and what is physically in your bank account, if you don't like where you're at, you can make a change.

Recognizing that living a prosperous life comes down to having extreme ownership in not pushing the blame onto anyone else, and the best way you can do that is to take a good, hard look in the mirror.

Taking a consistent, persistent, slow and steady commitment in being willing to pay the price will get us through the long game of where it is that we want to go.

And it all comes to being honest.

With my family's Polynesian background, it's common for us to tell everyone to take our shoes off.

Everyone, that is, except me.

I tend to walk around and wear my shoes still for one excuse after another, but ultimately it comes down to the fact that I don't take the time to take them off.

And I got called out for it.

"Daddy, why do you wear your shoes around the house but expect the rest of us to? You are not a man of integrity."

This lesson hit me HARD.

Whatever you say has to MEAN something and do what you say you're going to do by honoring your word.

I sat down with a local surfer in my area recently and had a conversation about seeing what I see.

I listen not only with my ear but with my heart and discover what's going on in their life as well as what's getting in the way.

I ask him, What do you want?

"I want to be better."

That's fine, but what is it that he wants to be better at?

He wasn't clear.

There's no need to make excuses to explain what it is that we REALLY want.

Human beings are so sedated, they can't even tell the truth about what it is that they want.

We've all been taught to settle and sedate to remain mediocre.

After delving a little bit more, he admitted that he wants to take his surfing even further and wanted to become the best, but it was hard for him to admit it.

Why?

Why is it hard to see ourselves as someone desiring to be the best?

If you have a mindset of an authentic person, you already know that you're going to operate from a truthful place about where you are and where you want to go.

This is how a POWERFUL person operates.

I love that this young man was being honest with me, as it allowed me to see more.

Whatever we believe to be true, we behave accordingly.

If you believe that anything is possible, you'll do whatever you need to undo to achieve it.

If you DON'T believe that anything is possible, you're limited in your beliefs.

COMMIT TO THE CLARITY.

Do you believe that you're the best? Do you even want to be the best?

You must CHOOSE to be the best. It's a CHOICE to be the BEST, and only you can make it.

Often, we don't choose to operate from a place of greatness because we aren't clear about what it is that we want.

It was a great conversation that I had with this high schooler, and I think he has the potential to truly be the best if he does what

When you get clear about the possibilities not being impossible, it becomes a moral obligation to succeed.

We have a moral obligation to impact others with our greatness.

It may require shifting the way that we operate on a daily basis, especially if we wake up early.

If you are committed to what you want, you can have it.

IF you're willing to pay the price for it.

How we think and see the world is how we align our actions and behaviors.

How you see yourself as the best is 80% of the struggle.

HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF IS EVERYTHING!!!

If you can see yourself as the best, you're going to do whatever is required.

Commit and stop making excuses.

Find a way.

Champions stop making excuses and find ways to win.

YOU'RE IN CHARGE.

I had my bi-annual check up at the dentist recently, and it was a great experience.

Now, I get that being excited about getting one's teeth cleaned may not be a positive experience for everyone, but this dentist is someone that we were referred to after moving to California.

Before this dentist, we had the regular, run of the mill dentist that we would take the family to get our teeth cleaned, but now that we found Dr. Parker, we are SO happy to get our teeth cleaned!

Here's why:

I love working with people that we get a referral for, because you know that their reputation provides an experience, which is much more than a basic check up.

They had a 2 month waiting list, and the staff was INCREDIBLE!

Especially Julia.

As she as cleaning my teeth, she told me her story about dreading her job.

While on maternity leave, she knew that she didn't want to go back, so she decided to go back to school and become a dental hygienist.

Now?

"I LOVE my job."

How cool is that to see someone realize when a career path isn't working for them, have the courage to course correct and venture down a different path that works?!

Whatever it was in Julia that caused her to not want to go back to the job she did something about it.

Her WORK wasn't WORKING for her.

Julia was committed to change her job at a much older age than many of those around her.

If what you have isn't working for you, it's not too late to change the course!

So what does this mean for you?

Look at the energy that you have, and if it's not working, GO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Whether it's your health, spirituality, marriage, or career, it's not too late to change.

Did you get that?

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO CHANGE.

This will require necessary required actions (NRA) and we had an incredible experience getting our teeth cleaned.

You will have a transformation of new results in your life because you are being true to yourself.

This requires FAITH: having a belief in yourself that you can do something that you've never done before.

You may not know what it is, but it comes down to having a belief that there is something within yourself that is greater than where you currently are.

Love you,

I had a meeting with one of my mentors today, and this guy's been through it all.

He was in a dark place at one point in his life after hitting rock bottom with a gun in his mouth but he turned it all around and is extremely wealthy across the board.

He focuses on establishing financial wealth in our life, which is the focus of today's episode.

How do we create wealth in our lives? By saving at least 20% of our money.

Before the Industrial Revolution, the farmer worked the land and had his results shown that way. Now the average man shows his worth in the marketplace.

There's a time and place to invest in your business to live on less than you earn.

Are you saving money?

Do you live on less than you earned or are you stuck in that trap of earn, spend, earn spend.

It's known as Parkinson's Law, in which a man or woman's expenses rise with their income increase.

I just talked with a friend about getting about of credit debt, and he's now focusing on saving 20% of his income.

Don't make the mistake of "I'll save later."

"I just won't spend money."

That's not realistic, because there's always going to be miscellaneous expenses that come up, from paying for kids sports to spending money on gas.

We will always have to spend money, yet we can still do it in a way that we also save as well.

But don't be cheap either.

Realize that there are things worth spending money on and things that we can do without.

The point is this:

LIVE ON LESS THAN YOU EARN.

When the joy of saving becomes greater than the joy of spending, you will gain wealthy.

Create a discipline and a habit to say, "This is the way of a wealthy man."

You will find more deals and opportunities to invest in when you have a savings that bring certainty.

There is an economic value of certainty when you have cash in the bank and in your savings account.

You know who you are and where you're going when you have financial certainty.

This is where an addiction becomes a good thing when you become addicted to saving and gaining wealth.

Start saving NOW.

My young boys are learning this now, and there's a lot of certainty in knowing that if something comes up, we are prepared because we have money set aside for those inevitable rainy days.

As a Coach, there are a lot of people that reach out to me on a regular basis about what it's going to take to achieve their Calling.

Simplest answer?

TELL THE TRUTH.

I got off of the phone with a woman that wants to coach as well and she asked many questions that didn't seem as if she was ready for the level of commitment that coaching with live events and taking on the time clients needed.

This reminded me that there are various ways we can answer someone that's not ready to hear the truth.

We can give them a fluffy answer that doesn't cover the facts of failure...

OR

We can tell them the cold hard facts of where they're currently at.

People don't really want the truth...they want something that will sugar coat or cover up or even sedate.

She wanted to do the least amount of work for the greatest results, unwilling to invest in the time, energy and money that achieving her dream will cost. Instead of looking at how much you can save, it's about looking at what we're willing to commit to paying  and investing in.

Across all areas of your life, do you really want to know why you walk around in fear, doubt and worry or are you simply looking for answers to sedate and cover up?

Why do you allow this doubt in? Because you're not ready for the exposure that the truth will bring.

In A Few Good Men, there's a famous scene about orders that were made in a military trial and the declaration was made after being riddled with questions:

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

If you really want to be happy...seek the truth.

The truth sets you free, but it's not going to be sugar-coated.

And it may not be cheap.

How much are you willing to pay to tell the truth and seek to be exposed?

I had another individual that asked for feedback, but she admitted that she wasn't ready to receive it.

If you want to live a life that you want, you're going to have to be willing to be EXPOSED and to hearing the stone-cold, brutal truth.

Nothing worthwhile in life is going to be given to us in a sweet and fluffy form.

If business tactics and strategies keep you warm and comfy, you're going to fail.

Those that truly want to succeed and excel need the truth to slap them in the face so that they can be set free with the truth.

Can you handle the truth?

Look at your life and the depth of the relationships with the people around you.

Accept the truth...find the root of the problem and work on it.

While checking basketball scores on TV, my boys started rough housing with me, my wife showed them silly videos and we even talked about the bible story of Adam & Eve as part of a regular family evening that we spend every Monday night.

After getting the kids to bed, I saw the movie Faster with Dwayne Johnson (whom a lot of people think I look like, but that's beside the point) and he was a man on a mission.

It reminded me of knocking on doors DRIVEN and COMMITTED to the job that was asked of me, I remember feeling that intensity that I felt when seeking a sell.

I went 6 DAYS a week, and I was committed.

Just like Dwayne Johnson was in the movie, and you're going to have to retreat back into the direction that you need, and it all comes down to COMMITMENT.

It's one thing to get started with something, but ultimately it comes down to a divine plan that taught me to do what was REQUIRED to provide an incredible living for my family.

We need to do what we say we're going to do to be inspired to live a live of prosperity.

Whether it was a movie or an event in my own life, there are events that help us feel INSPIRED to become more.

If you don't have commitment, don't even start because you're just going to quit. Life is DESIGNED to make us quit...we need the resistance to PUSH OURSELVES.

Commitment is about moving the mountain with a shovel if that's all that is available if the mountain is in the way. It's that part in my heart that tells me that I'm going to do THIS and will figure it out because there's nothing that's going to stop me.

I took this inspiration and became a coach since 2013 because I was COMMITTED and DRIVEN to make sure that nothing is going to stop me. There's a place in all of our lives in which we are a MISSION to influence people to become better.

Don't start unless you've got commitment.

It alters and CHANGES everything.

You want a better life?

GET COMMITTED!!!

May 15, 2017

In this game of life as we grow and expand, I have found that I LOVE to help people.

Recently I had a gal that wanted to come to one of my events, and after watching the videos, filling out the application, and learning the particulars of the event, she asked, "This is all great, but why is it so much money?"

The event is $10k, which entails a bunch of deep dive intensive training and 4 days of working hands on with me in Southern California.

Oftentimes, people say they WANT something but then are unwilling to invest in what it takes to achieve it, whether it's a healthier body, larger bank account, or happy family.

They declare, "I WANT THIS! I WANT THIS! I WANT THIS!"

And yet, they allow the question, "Why does it cost so much?" as the reason holding them back.

It's too expensive to them, but the only way we can truly achieve what we desire is if we DO THE WORK.

It is significantly more costly in the long run when we don't take the time now to take care of ourselves and invest when we are forced to go down a path when we refused to pay the piper earlier.

Going to your grave having a life filled with regret is COSTLY.

What's costly and expensive is living a life of "What if's" and what might have been. The best time is TODAY to invest in what it is that you want.

Look at the people that have WEALTH with their families, their health, and of course inside of their bank accounts.

Pay the price today and quit being so cheap. If you don't have the money to do what it is you want, start where you are today. Yes, the price will stretch you and it's going to hurt, but every leap and bound that I took investing in myself, there are dividends that occur.

Look at the possible results and be willing to act on FAITH that the skills sets and tools you have will help you make something from those investments.

Wake up to possibilities that remove us from the bonds that hold us back, as we stop looking at the price and instead the dividends.

What's the real cost if you don't invest in your family and your health?

Stop looking at the price and start looking at the cost you need to invest in to get what you want and love.

For the last two months, I had this huge TV box sitting on my back porch.

And then my boys broke their bed from jumping on it (side note: little boy beds are not meant for little Polynesian boys jumping on them), so we have these broken pieces up in my loft.

And pretty soon, we got use to the mess that these have created, almost like a contemporary piece of art that is tucked in the corner of the house and just permanently there.

The thought keeps popping in that I should contact this person or ask that person to help me move them, but then something else would come up and the empty box and broken bed would get shoved to the back of my thoughts again.

For TWO MONTHS I allowed this to occur, until I finally asked myself the simple question,

"What is it going to take to get rid of this stuff?"

Today I brought the bed down and put it next to the box, and I took my son's rusted bike that has been in our garage for TWO YEARS and placed that next to the mess as well.

How many times in your life do you have junk literally laying around that you keep avoiding?

How long have you been carrying around this junk?

Figuratively, what judgments and stories from the past are creating junk in your mind. We can make up excuses all day long, but at the end of the day the burden is still there, and it's self-inflicted.

Instead of carrying around this garbage, clean it up!

How?

Through productivity, meaning you're actually going to do something about the junk and remove it from your mind and physical space.

Oftentimes, it's not about getting more, but asking better questions.

Productivity requires you to ASK MORE POWERFUL QUESTIONS.

Powerful questions allow us to access space.

And within 5 minutes, I was able to access more space by asking my landscapers if they would take my junk to the dump for me for a fee.

We can't afford to let junk, garbage, grudges, hate, or jealousy to overwhelm us.

It sucks the life force from us.

Where in your life can you get rid of the excess junk that isn't serving you.

LET IT GO!

Drop the dead weight and get rid of the garbage that continues to sit around so that you have MORE SPACE.

You will find more power to create, and energy to see something.

May 10, 2017

As I was making breakfast crepes for my boys this morning, I came to this conclusion about pleasure for a moment.

Is it really worth it?

Sure, the sugary goodness of eating these crepes that smelled so good would taste great for a little bit, but what then?

Would I be satisfied with just a small bite?

Am I clear about the consequences that come from losing self-discipline, even over something as small as eating crepes for breakfast when I've been trying to live a healthier lifestyle?

As we've discussed before, CLARITY POWER, so then I get clear about what it is that I want.

When I don't have clarity, I do whatever I want without thinking about any repercussions and make choices that cause me to settle rather than prosper in life.

When we are uncertain, we do the things that go against previous commitments that have been made.

But when we KNOW what we want, we know what we're COMMITTED to.

Then we ask the question, is it really worth it?

If I want to have a body that exudes power and health and lead through example to my family and clients, I have to have discipline.

Discipline falls under commitment, so when you get tempted to break free from what you really require of yourself, it makes the answer simple.

We don't overcomplicate the process because we know what we want.

It's not about something being good or bad, but knowing whether or not something is WORTH it. Is it worth going against what you believe to be true in regards to relationships because you're not clear on what kind of person you want to be?

Prosperity is a choice....and so is mediocrity.

You're going to have to choose, so that when you get tempted, you can CHOOSE from a place of clarity on where you stand and what you are committed to doing.

I invite you to take on a Challenge of getting clear about what you want.

Are your current daily behaviors bringing you what you want?

May 9, 2017

I was talking with a client that was exercising and have permission to share the story about not being able to figure this client's cardio out.

Last year, it was just fine, but now it's exhausting to do the same thing.

We ask these questions like, "What's wrong with what I'm doing?" like it was magically taken away.

Here's the truth: NOTHING HAPPENED TO YOUR CARDIO.

Or whatever it is that you think is holding you back from receiving success. You stopped pushing yourself and a year later, your body isn't going to do what it did before. No alien abducted you and took all of your responsibility away.

We want to slam anything and everyone else instead of taking responsibility for ourselves. You stopped doing the required work. THAT'S what happened!

You lacked clarity and stopped doing the work.

There's nothing magical and mystical about this.

You stopped producing. You stopped creating. You stopped growing and innovating because you stopped telling the truth about what you really want.

Are you still trying to blame someone else for the weight that you carry, whether it be physical or mental?

Or can you be honest with yourself and be aware of the impact of your choices?

Are you still trying to blame someone else?

There's no usefulness in asking these types of questions of blaming other people for where YOU ARE.

OR.....

You can stay in a place of power by taking ownership for creating the space and state of being for who you are.

Are you doing the necessary required actions?

Are you doing what's required and BEING who is required to take the necessary actions?

Stop being a victim and making up necessary stories that do not serve you and take ownership. It's called life.

If you don't take responsibility for your life and shift it onto someone else, you will not prosper.

The life that you live is the life that you have created. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING MORE, IT'S UP TO YOU.

This is the way of power and the way of wealth: taking ultimate ownership and extreme responsibility for your life.

Apr 7, 2017

I recently did some CrossFit after quite a few months of not tackling these workout circuits, so they started me out with this workout called "Nancy" and I was completely GASSED afterwards.

My muscles had atrophied from the skills required to do the workout in a POWERFUL way. We deal with degenerative issues across all areas of our life if we don't exercise and use the capacity that we have been given.

The body is the structure that allows you to carry out what it is that you dream and see.

If you want to have incredible relationships, WATER THEM!

What do I mean by that?

You need to use what you got and put into your relationships or your body will dry up.

Mar 29, 2017

I am committed to being Father of the Year to my sons.

I love taking my boys to school every morning, but that doesn't mean that we don't have our tough days. My son couldn't find his instrument for the school presentation that was supposed to occur one morning which led to a lot of frustrations all around.

By the time we arrived at their school, he was close to tears that he wasn't prepared and then he asked if I could speak to his teacher for him.

This taught me a valuable lesson.

It hit me right on the spot about the importance of responsibility and handling things by focusing on the solution instead of the problem, but in the moment of being angry and frustrated I had to take a few deep breaths before teaching my son this lesson as well.

Just like my son can't put the blame on his younger brother for not taking responsibility for our own choices, so too we need to take responsibility and stop making up stories when we face frustrations.

The adversity was that he was MAKING UP A STORY and it wasn't until we confronted the reality that he was able to look for the solutions.

He talked to his teacher and she had an extra instrument for him, so he was able to play his music with the rest of his class that morning.

And guess what?

My son stated that it was a great day.

We may not always be able to foresee what kind of a day we're going to have, but the stories that we make up become a huge factor in learning to know how to take on the curve balls thrown our way every day.

The gift of the tragedy in adversity was that I was able to have a great conversation with my son and connected with him even more after having lunch with him that day, letting him know how much I love him.

Stop creating unnecessary stories. They are disempowering and will never serve you. So how do we avoid this? We focus on responsibility and make a shift towards what WILL serve us.

Challenge your stories, and you may discover the gifts that have been hidden once the stories were cleared away.

Mar 22, 2017

For years I was making multiple posts during the day, receive thousands of likes, and making videos before everyone started do that through Facebook Live, and recently I decided that I needed to choose a different path.

So, I got off of Facebook.

If you get clear, than you can ditch your own Facebooks in life.

What do I mean by that?

Social media has been an incredible tool, but it was also a HUGE distraction.

When I looked at my relationships with my family, I got CLEAR that I want to have a relationship with my sons and wife that is based on communication and trust, which requires direct communication and contact with them. When I allow distractions like living a life glued to my phone, I am not clear about what gifts I have right in front of me.

In January I've been hearing the Voice to tell me to get off of Facebook, despite the positive benefits as a tool that it is. But you know how it's been effecting me?

I'm not as tired because I've been sucked into looking at a screen right before bed. I'm able to have conversations with my sons and watch classics like Karate Kid with them.

CLARITY IS POWER.

If you lack power, you will be consumed by the path of least resistance, which leads to addictions, and all around us there are people glued to their phones. They are ADDICTED to what social media is telling them instead of the truth of face to face interaction.

What do I do instead of scrolling on my phone? I have real conversations with other people.

Setema Gali - The Reverend of the Revolution

Mar 9, 2017

Six years ago I was at my bottom.

I was reminded of this today after hiring a guy to become part of my team because it reminded me of where I was and how I'm able to get back on top.

What does this have to do with you?

I have six key principles that helped me get back on top so that now I'm creating a seven figure Empire and have my sights set on making it 8.

All of this is possible, but it requires a formula to follow for the most optimal success.

It's a FORMULA that radically alters your choices, and it's called H6

H6:

  1. Hungry to succeed
  2. Humble to be teachable
  3. Heart to do what is required
  4. Hustle is a muscle that you can create to get those leads
  5. Honor through operating under integrity
  6. Hours show that you're willing to put in the time

What's driving you on a regular basis to succeed? For me, it's a desire to live to my fullest potential.

It's easy to lose a holy cause when you're safe and comfortable, but when you humble yourself, you're able to become teachable.

Blessed are the meek so they may inherit the earth.

This doesn't mean that you're soft. You're LEARNING.

Do you hustle today? It makes up for lack of talent because you go out and do. This makes up for lack of skills because you're willing to grind and push towards getting the work that is required done.

None of this matters if you don't operate from a place of integrity by operating with HONOR.

There is no short cut to hard work. Putting in the time and paying your dues will make you gain that hunger to make you stand out from the crowd because you're willing to show your hungry for success.

Mar 1, 2017

A few weeks ago I spent some time with a bunch of incredible entrepreneurs, business owners and people, and I had a chance to speak on Russell Brunson's stage about implementation in regards to marketing funnels.

I had ALL of these notes for it, but knowledge is not where the power is.

The implementation of what we have learned is.

What do I mean by that?

I have 3 Key Principles that have helped me in my life due to implementation:

  1. Don't worry about what people think about you
  2. Simple Success Swinging Singles: ONE THING
  3. Imperfect Action

One of the reason we don't take action is because we worry about what others may think about us. If you are no longer worried about what you may look like to others, imagine what you can further accomplish!

When you no longer care what you look like, you get out of your own way of what it is you can accomplish.

By focusing on one small step every single day, we will get more accomplished. What's ONE THING you can do today to make your life better?

Imperfect action is how we get started. The way things appear is when we start to move. Master planners aren't very good at execution. Imperfect action is like in Seth Godin's book, Linchpin, in which a person gets the most accomplished making imperfect actions that they can learn from and course correct.

Welcome to a SPECIAL EDITION of the Daily Revolution!

I am STILL on Cloud 9 about the result of Super Bowl LI because I was part of Super Bowl XXXVI and it brought back all of these great memories for me!

What a class act in Matt Ryan as a professional that didn't throw anyone under the bus, and he now has a new fan in Setema Gali because of the way that he handled himself.

The way that we conduct ourselves shows POWER, no matter what outcome we have.

As for my Patriots, they have figured it out.

Their leadership and system by which they operate shows that it's NEVER OVER.

As a fan, I CHOSE to believe in my Patriots.

The benefits of being a believer and fighting until the end, regardless of what it looks like, also brings great power.

Do YOU believe in your life?

What we saw in the Super Bowl LI will NEVER be done again. They NEVER stopped believing!

Never give up. Never stop believing.

That's HUGE in life!

Believe and never give up with how you approach things and see it.

Feb 3, 2017

Something inside of me told me to check on my boys this morning before working out. What resulted was talking about all sorts of things having a conversation.

If you WAIT for the big moments, you're never going to get the small moments back because they won't tell you about what their thoughts are.

What I found in listening to them was so impactful and meaningful because it taught me a very profound message:

BE WITH PEOPLE.

Whether you're a businessman, doctor, or into real estate, when we focus on BEING with others, we are able to get a deeper experience in whatever it is that we do.

Distractors are the destroyers of being present.

Learn how to be present across all areas of your life. When I go on date nights with my wife, I don't bring my phone. The last 30 days I haven't been on Facebook, scrolling through my feed, and it's been incredible what I've replaced that time with!

I've been able to experience all of these fun memories with my boys, friends and wife instead.

Whatever it is that is getting in the way of you being present, take a look at what it is that you need to do to be present.
